@RL_Dane @retronav I'm definitely sure my new computer will be a BSD. I'm trying to buy open hardware as much as I can because I need hardware compatible with BSD. It's good for the floss ecosystem to have alternatives.

I always thought that Wayland was portable. That's a shame!! I use sway and i love it but it annoys me a lot those new solutions that are focusing on Linux only. Despite I don't use any BSD yet they are still very important to floss.

I was making serious plans to migrate either to that or bspwm, but then I started getting interested in #OpenBSD, so #Wayland went out the window, as it has several #Linux-only syscalls, and isn't super easily portable (which is very regrettable).I agree that #X11 should either be incremented or replaced by something much lighter and more modern, but also *portable*.
