   @Duckbill4994 @vkc @JoeRess Oof, Veronica punched me right in the nostalgia with that example. Much respect.

   I tabsolutely aped my favorites off the radio. I dubbed tapes for friends. (And later ripped CDs,).

   Maybe that friend ended up seeing the band live, which netted that band a LOT more money. (I became pretty anti-major label/RIAA for awhile when I learned the truth of how little artists made with those recording contracts).

   But we shouldn't be afraid to call a spade a spade, right?

     My favorite people discussing a seriously difficult topic. Love it.

     My 2c: Piracy is not a money issue, it's a service issue.

     If youtube's paid service would be good, I would not have a problem paying. (but you can't for domain accounts)

     Same for streaming services: I will not grab a subscription from all of them: too much hassle.

     And netflix (for instance) limits amount of downloaded content for viewing offline, and for how long.

     Plex has no such limitations...
