   @victor@tooters.org I looked through the fediblock listing in https://fba.ryona.agency/ and most of them are either reasons that can be solved much easily, are completely stupid, or just outright no reason at all. It's quite stupid how some admins can't do fediblocking properly and just add the server to the defederation list without looking through the entire instance first.

     @asahi95 at no point have I ever blocked any instance based on any lists, or similar collections. I have looked at these lists, hundreds and hundreds of blocked domains…and I reviewed many of these myself, reviewing the activity of the admin, looking at the local timeline…to date I have blocked 41 instances that *need* to be because of what I personally saw myself. The fedi blocks are immature bullshit a majority of the time.

     @asahi95 that’s the mindset I have too. I was on here for a few months before starting an instance, and had closely followed the discourse around blocks so I wanted to do things correctly from the start. No way I’m going to assume others aren’t single minded in their block recommendations.

     @victor@tooters.org That's exactly what I'm saying! And tbh, I'd go and block the instances myself based on my experience rather than listen to stuff mentioned on the fediblock hashtag. I'm starting to learn more about this whole defederation stuff and I'd rather take it wisely than listen to other posts (unless it's strictly necessary)
