SlicerDicer (slicerdicer@bikeshed.party)'s status on Thursday, 01-Jun-2023 11:01:00 JST SlicerDicer @stoic I quit before so I’m basically just a dumbass. Divorce and depression doesn’t excuse it. 2009, then started back 9 years ago.
But yeah the wheezing and all I know will be worse this time. That’s actually why I’ve put it off. I didn’t want the hell of that. I got hit by Covid in 2020 really hard. The difficulty of long covid really messed me up. Took 18 months to be symptom free. It’s only recently my muscle mass is at 100% again. I was going to quit earlier in the year but that didn’t work out. Got nailed by strep hard.
Probably for the best to quit though. My body will fight shit off better.
Incidentally isn’t it amazing how you can smoke all screwed up?-

Stoic (stoic@freeatlantis.com)'s status on Thursday, 01-Jun-2023 11:01:01 JST Stoic @SlicerDicer I know it is hard. I've been there myself. It got to the point where I was caughing up black shit and blood daily.
However it was the best decision of my life. Probably the reason why I am still alive today.
Things will get better. Believe in yourself and rise above your addictive tendencies. Don't replace one vice for another either.
Instead when you get the urge to smoke do something instead that positively impacts your life. Whatever that means to you.
You got this.

SlicerDicer (slicerdicer@bikeshed.party)'s status on Thursday, 01-Jun-2023 11:01:02 JST SlicerDicer Well I am quitting smoking wish me luck. This is gonna suck.
It’s horrible for my health and I can’t keep doing that. So I’m on antibiotics as I’m coughing yellow crap and prednisone so I can breathe. With the summer Saharan dust down here it really messed me up with that combined.
Don’t recommend. It’s addictive as hell, expensive and everyone looks at you like you’re asshole.
prednisone and me? It’s like taking stimulant, so I am all jacked with hyperactivity. Yeah that’s lame, hyperactive? ADHD cranked to max. It also mildly inflames anger. So I’m gonna step back off here while on this.
Bleh, jacked stress response.
