German state media: Yes, grocery prices are higher due to inflation, but they should be even higher for fairness and the environment

you are right. 'state media' is my shorthand for:
the media that charges 18,38EUR each month from every household where one cannot ever unsubscribe, cannot influence programming, that is a tool of nepotism for politicians, where the director of WDR alone earns 413k€

@kaia @kolya it fits many of the definitions though (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/State_media) only a few theories would call it state associated media or something instead,

that said im pro state media but informatial, educational and political only. I really dont want the majority of the money be wasted on soccer games or bullshit shows

        State media
State media or government media are media outlets that are under financial and/or editorial control of the state or government, directly or indirectly. There are different types of state and government media. State-controlled or state-run media are under editorial control or influence by the state or government. Definition There is no undisputed definition of state media or government media. The most common definition of state media or government media refers to any media organization that is either directly or indirectly owned or operated by the state. Across 97 countries, the pattern of media ownership was found to be predominantly owned by either the government or by prominent families connected with government entities. It is often associated with authoritarian governments that use state media to control, influence, and limit information. State or government media can range from media outlets that are completely under state control to editorially independent public service media outlets. The term "public media" can be used to refer to state or government media and public service broadcasting (PBS). Although...

@kaia There's this passage in Sahra Wagenknechts latest book where she cites a study stating that in journo academic studies these days you basically have 100% upper middle class people and 0% working class. That explains a lot about the naricissistic progressive-neoliberal circlejerk of the public broadcast caste in germany. They can only see the world in accordance to their class interest and privilege.
