   wow is it really not possible to swap L/R audio channels in a file in iMovie? I feel like this is a pretty basic operation but it seems like I have to do this separately from iMovie.

   I'm one video in and already I've outgrown iMovie?

     @kitchen that sounds about right, same thing happened for my wife. She bounced off Davinci Resolve a couple of times, struggled through editing two videos with iMovie, and went straight back to Resolve with a fresh determination to figure it all out.

     @gnomon not only did you save me $300 from buying Final Cut Pro, you also saved me from spending $100 on Premiere Elements. And now I have a piece of free software that took me all of 2 minutes of faffing about to figure out how to swap the audio channels.

     I owe you a beverage, friend.
