     For real though, it has been fun watching them speed run the first 3 yrs. of Mastodon, but with AI and no federation.

     By AI, I mean a lying content filter team with no members and a very large if/then statement.

     All that said, people seemed to take a preference to Bluesky... in many cases. Making fun of mastodon's culture in comparison.

     The truth many aren't seeing is that the culture here, while it seems alien to a lot of people, is the only way this works.

     You only get out of it what you put into it.

     I don't think bsky is all bad.

     But it is just largely reimplementing fedi/Mastodon with some shiny AI frosting.

     And less moderation.

     @thegibson It's a bit sad even. We could all see what the result would inevitably be when putting a fresh coat of pain on the same failed formula. Some just can't see it I guess.

     You know what is better? The UI is better, simpler.

     I'll be interested to see what the admin UI looks like when they launch federation.
