In particular, how its admins & mods slant. The last thing you'd want is to finally persuade people to move from Reddit (or similar sites) to a Lemmy instance and then having moderators destroy your community.
I can't stand those type of sites, so I never join, but I have seen several people grumbling about losing accounts or being blocked from instances.-

fu (fu@libranet.de)'s status on Saturday, 27-May-2023 12:23:56 JST fu @lnxw48a1 yeah, I've spent quite a while trying to find the best one. Right now I'm leaning to links.hackliberty.org about the only one I found that isn't blocked, nor does it block, either the right wing nor leftist instances.
