   Is this in search results or on the actual profile page?

   Sometimes the follow buttons are missing on the search results (I assume due to a bug) but when you click on the profile it will show the follow button there.

     Yeah, I've seen some bugs like that. Could it also be an issue of federation?

     I think if there was a federation problem you wouldn't see the profile at all.

     Just out of interest, what do you use to view your account? The website? A mobile app? A desktop app?

     It is the actual profile page. — oh, this is odd: I was going to do a screengrab and show you an example, but the profiles that lacked the follow button yesterday now have it back.

     Maybe it was just a transient glitch.

     @feditips I use the Advanced Web Interface in my browser (Vivaldi) on my notebook computer (Macbook Air M1). The browser and macOS are current version.
