   RE: ActivityPub Plugin for WordPress: let's assume I would work on a feature that would allow you to follow a complete blog, what would be the best identifier for that account? `@feed@example.org`? `@blog@example.com`?

     @oblomov but this would conflict with fed.brid.gy for example :(

     and it is a bit tricky for subdomains like @pfefferle.wordpress.com@pfefferle.wordpress.com ;)

     @pfefferle this is something I've been thinking about since the beginning. The obvious issue is that you don't want it conflicting with any existing or future usernames. I like the idea of using the domain itself as username as in @example.com@example.com or similar. An alternative like @all@example.com could work too I guess. Would it be possible to make this customizable?

     @oblomov the idea is to make it customizable, but I would love to start with a default value, that would simply work for most of the users.

     @pfefferle Are you finally approaching issue #1? (: The group actor, as well as the relay actor, is also one of our tasks to solve in our WordPress event federation project, we will start working on in july (with support from to NLnet).

     Whereas the relay actor towards mobilizon has a fixed naming scheme, our plans also have been to make the group actor customizeable and have the admin interface inform users about naming conflicts.

     @pfefferle the identifier has to be source defined not reader defined. There maybe different feeds on different pages or different parts of the site or even different sites on the same domain.

     As the general naming of feeds is /feed it's probably reasonable to concatenate the URL such as page-section-feed.mydomain.com.

     But the simplest case is to use the title of the feed, with perhaps -feed appended to it.

     @pfefferle another problem is if WP is installed under a subdirectory like domain.com/blog (and leaving the root domain to be handled by some other CMS). The identifier probably needs to incorporate the whole path and not just the domain.
