     @adamjcook @BruceMirken @atomicpoet @socialmedianews LinkedIn is also nearly indistinguishable from Facebook in its privacy practices, i.e. highly invasive. Why does the iPhone app need to collect my purchases, location, financial info, and other “Sensitive Data” when other free/paid apps don’t? It’s definitely not required for functionality, not even “contacts.” I’ve deleted it on my phone.

     @atomicpoet @socialmedianews It's worse than that. LinkedIn is filled with fake accounts running scams of various sorts. I get a couple messages a week on there from scammers. And reporting them accomplishes nothing.

     @BruceMirken @atomicpoet @socialmedianews Honestly, LinkedIn is basically indistinguishable from Facebook to me these days.

     Perhaps it is just that I am into #manufacturing, but the comments sections that I see are… well… often less-than-professional and highly politically-charged.

     Alt-right crap runs wild.

     I just roll my eyes and log out.

     Much of everything else is just cold messages from recruiters and cold sales pitches.

     I think I am going to just dump it.

     I noticed they're deploying pretty aggressive methods to combat it.

     When I browse on desktop Firefox I always have the habit of middle clickick to open new tabs to queue up what I'm going to read.

     Do NOT queue up tabs on LinkedIn. If you do it too quickly you'll get flagged for botting and temporarily suspended.

     I learned this the hard way... really annoying.
