   @bosak I’ve come to appreciate the bite-sized form: it lets people react thought by thought, share the writing via multiple entry points, and even react as I’m writing and forming my thoughts.

   I do wish Mastodon clients did a better job of showing threads. @ivory on my phone generally does a better job than the default Mastodon web UI, but they could all stand some streamlining for long threads.

     I sure wish I had the energy to assemble the pieces of an interesting little article like the one just posted by @inthehands, but I don't, and I resent the idiotic character limit that makes this troglodytic form of presentation necessary. Are we not grownups here? Do we really need a ridiculously low character limit to make sure we don't go on too long? Do we really need to be managed like children? Isn't blocking bad actors enough?
