Matt 🌻 (matt@oslo.town)'s status on Friday, 19-May-2023 23:23:29 JST Matt 🌻 @alex For every copy of the game sold, they have a human sat there behind the scenes at Nintendo HQ making their experience is glitch-free.
I think that's how they do it. Like this:

Alex Gleason (alex@gleasonator.com)'s status on Friday, 19-May-2023 23:27:09 JST Alex Gleason @matt I created some games in Solarus https://solarus-games.org/ and even that taught me enough to understand on a basic level how Zelda works. You have maps and entities. TOTK has an awesome physics engine, but it's still based on this design. In conversation permalink Attachments

Alex Gleason (alex@gleasonator.com)'s status on Friday, 19-May-2023 23:33:25 JST Alex Gleason @Ruusu @matt It has a visual map builder and integrated code editor. Easy to learn, difficult to master. Highly recommended as an entrypoint into game development. It's easy but does not limit you in any way - as long as you can commit to the idea of maps and entities in a top-down 2D perspective. Alex Gleason (alex@gleasonator.com)'s status on Friday, 19-May-2023 23:36:34 JST Alex Gleason @dwaltiz @matt I still think about it sometimes and wish I could. When I stopped, I had messed some things up and was starting to make the game worse instead of better. But once I'm at a good point with this social media stuff I do plan to return to it. Maybe in retirement if it takes that long - I still think it's a good idea. In conversation permalink -

Alex Gleason (alex@gleasonator.com)'s status on Friday, 19-May-2023 23:39:28 JST Alex Gleason @Ruusu @matt Do it. It has built in sample maps. You can simply swap out the art and have your own game on day 1.
It taught me a lot about pixel art and animation too.In conversation permalink -
