@mackuba RPin OS is based on Debian. I don’t think there are relevant performance differences between both or Ubuntu. Also RPi OS might not be as secure: updates lag a bit behind Debian’s and they used to require a “pi” user to exist (not sure if that’s still the case).
Anyway if you don’t need wifi, I would just use FreeBSD. 😊 It works really well on RPi these days, have one working 24/7 with no issues. No wifi support though.
