   friend messaged me today about the current state of social media and how it isn't working for artists:

   All the dudes in bands i know are struggling and i think it’s cause there’s no longer a platform for it really. Bands have no clue what to make of instagram and there’s no schedule capability to show events, but that’s where it should be
   
   Bandcamp is great but it’s just bands using it."
   
   editors node: meaning there aren't any users/fans on bandcamp. no eyeballs == no good
   
   
   Feels like fediverse could fill this gap with the right design
