     Correct me if i'm wrong but in the United States I have heard that "people" aren't expected to register for the draft but men. If men don't they can't apply for things like student loans or govt jobs but if women don't they face no punishment. Any truth to that ?

     I don't know about other countries, but there is no draft in the US (currently - although people are supposed to register for it when they turn 18). Nor is there one in Australia.

     No, this has been the case all along at least in swedish media it has been publicly known that males between 18 and X (I don't remember exactly) are not allowed to leave the country but ar expected to fight.

     Phrasing this as ukraine actively targeting only fathers is dishonest and it seems like Mises.org has succumbed to russian propaganda.

     Many countries, I am sure, have similar laws in case of war. I think in the US you could get prison while avoiding the draft (...)

     I don't know what the rules are anymore ... it was a long long time ago in a galaxy far away.

     I was actually in the Air National Guard back in the late 80's early 90's (first gulf war); when i woke up to the truth that "war is a racket".

     When I was discharged, I never looked back.
