@Ulrich_the_Elder @zens Ethical lying happens all the time in an imperfect world: people lying about their sexual orientation or gender to avoid losing their job or life, people lying about having a partner because it deters some of the harassers, people lying on overly inquisitive registration forms to protect their privacy ...
Using a crystal clear example (not hypothetical, it happens every day in some parts of the world) just makes it obvious that there is a line to be drawn and that "lying is categorically evil" is the extreme position.
