   Apparently within days of canonizing monophysites as the first openly non-Christian saints of the Catholic Church, Pope Francis called pedophiles “children of God” and “deserving of love.”
   
   This is so fucked lmao. I’m not going back to mass tomorrow. I can’t tie my name to this. I’d sooner go churchless.

     @augustus I think it captured some genuine sentiments in the traditionalist Catholic world today without getting bogged down in the dry details, there are allusions to the issue of the new vs old mass, for example.
     
     It was also pornographic and morally relativistic, which I didn’t approve of. It mixes rigidness, which can be good, with a god complex, bad, and tries to present sainthood as the grey middle ground. It isn’t, that’s not what a saint is.
     
     I think it could be edited down into a decent movie but overall I found the morals perverted.
