     @tek Yes! I've been thinking that passenger ships and RVs have basically already solved at least part of this problem, so it shouldn't be too much of a hurdle to sketch something out.

     @karlexceed Yep. Maybe it’s time for a local DC 12V (or around there) low voltage standard. I think Google did that for their data centers for the same reasons.

     Does it bother anyone else that modern lighting is nearly 100% LEDs and yet in most cases, power is still delivered at 120+ V directly to the lamp where *each lamp* has it's own internal driver to drop that to whatever working voltage they need??
