Jellyfin is a free software replacement for such.
Also. it was never "TOR", it's Tor.
Tor only does TCP, while bittorrent needs UDP to work properly and exit bandwidth is limited, so you shouldn't torrent over Tor.
For BitTorrent, you want a VPN - as those are setup to not be affected too much by copyright trolls that wish to stop sharing.
While BitTorrent does implement encryption, it's RC4, so it's nothing more than obfuscation.
The trolls typically sit on public trackers and see which IPs appear on the trackers (although trackers do input random IPs into the list of seeders), but rarely sit on the DHT - so going trackerless is often a good idea.
You can also do BitTorrent over i2p, or use gnutella-gtk, plus GNUnet has built in filesharing.
