   @vwbusguy That's a carry over from Misskey. If you want to see a server with ads, misskey.io has it.

   Calckey itself is a community-driven fork of Misskey, and no server (that I know about) displays ads.

     I noticed that #Calckey has a settings option for "Show ads" and that has me curious about its current implementation and what the future plans are for monetizing the platform. I'm not suggesting anything adverse/malicious here and I realize it costs money to host stuff like this. I'm more just curious where things are likely going with the platform.
