My sister's cats have decided to make a certain spot on the floor their "it is my territory" marker. I'm mopping the floor with bleach multiple times per day to clean it up, but I think I'm just going to keep that door closed. If they can't get in, they'll move that activity to a place where she has to deal with it, not me.

If this is something new the cats are doing, there might have a medical issue, I hope not but I have seen it in the past but usually a single cat not multiple.

@geniusmusing It could be just one cat. No one has seen it happen, just smelled the odor.
I originally suspected it was the male, because I know they do this. I think he's still less than a year old. There's a female that is probably 13-15 years old that really does not like the male and a female that is probably about 4 months old.
The older cat is the last of a set of 3 that she got back then.

That could be the reason (I have seen the M/F/age difference issues before) but keeping an eye out for that and other odd behavior (other than "normal" cat oddities) has been a trigger for a trip to the vet if it sticks around and is not a one off.
