   Asked by Semafor if Tucker Carlson's firing had anything to do with a harassment lawsuit recently filed by a former Fox News producer -- one who'd worked on Carlson's show -- the ex-producer's attorney responded: "I have no comment on those reports other than to say that timing is a matter of physics, and as such is undeniable.”

     Grossberg said through her attorney, in a statement to Rolling Stone: “This is a step towards accountability for the election lies and baseless conspiracy theories spread by Fox News, something I witnessed firsthand at the network, as well as for the abuse and harassment I endured while Head of Booking and Senior Producer for Tucker Carlson Tonight. I think this is great for America! It’s a big win for viewers of cable news, not just those who watch Fox.”

     Notably, this case is in its very early days. Carlson had only recently as last week notified the court he was aware of the summons. Fox & Carlson still have two months to ask for dismissal. Personally, I'll be watching to see if Fox moves for a split trial now; if Carlson is forced to hire his own counsel; or if a settlement is suddenly announced.

     The suit brought by Grossberg is primary aimed at people who worked on Carlson's show. It accuses him personally of creating and condoning a misogynistic workplace environment (including jokes about which women in politics his staff would have sex with), and antisemitic jokes about employees who, like Grossberg, are Jewish. A lot of this behavior is attributed to Tucker staff member Alexander McCaskill.

     LA Times now with sources "familiar" claiming Murdoch personally pushed Carlson out, citing specifically the lawsuit filed by ex-producer Abby Grossberg.
