@thomasfuchs I've seen some folks review them. They're pretty crap. The idea is that the magnetometer will be affected slightly by the screws, but it's such a subtle effect that it's almost within the noise floor and just moving your hand or rotating the phone a bit can completely change the reading.

Bosch sells one based on mmWave radar beam steering that costs like 900€ and the reviews are almost as bad as the 10€ ones. most builders I know just use the magnet trick and knowledge of the standard spacings.
