     @thomasfuchs I’m so confused by nostalgia for this era of macs. They were so horrible, both hardware and software. Before that, it was the happy Mac, and after was the power Mac/so X era. This bit in the middle was the worst (and also while I was using BeOS, Solaris, and Linux).

     I have to assume some people — possibly you! — started using macs then and had a good experience. But it’s hard to fathom.
