This isn’t something you would say (or do) in English. Does it make sense in Japanese?

@jblue :agooglehearts: :blobdoggoheart2: I am glad that you are studying Japanese
@gougoudoggo thanks so much! ありがとうございます❣️ :blobcatheart:
@jblue
I wonder who Duolingo wants you to be :blobdoggolul:
I was happy to see some people on Mastodon who said they learned Japanese on Duolingo, but I've seen some people say it's a bad service. :meowthonkang:
@gougoudoggo yes, I want to learn learn Japanese but I don’t think my app wants me to. These were two phrases from today.
@jblue Hmm, yes, Duolingo might not be the best way to learn grammar. :blobdoggothink:
It's an ambitious plan! I think it's good to learn a new language in a short amount of time. :blobcatthumbsup:
Like you, I will work hard to learn English too! :blobdoggohighfive:
@gougoudoggo yeah, it’s not very good. They reformatted the lessons and didn’t bother adding the grammar notes back in. I had to buy a grammar book.
My plan is to finish Duolingo and understand as much grammar from my book as possible and then subscribe to Japanesepod101.com and hopefully go as fast as I can through the podcasts bc it is not cheap.

NEET looking into the distance and crying :meowpuffytears: What a sad scene.
@jblue @gougoudoggo Japanese NEET culture leaking in Duolingo
@jblue thank you :agooglehearts: :meowhearthug:
@gougoudoggo feel free to ask if you have any English questions :blobcatheart:
