Repeatedly absorbing negative comments and toxicity across social networks is kinda shit for your #MentalHealth
(Don't worry Fediverse, it rarely happens HERE.)
It's why I left Twitter and Facebook.
But on a daily basis, I still need to browse Twitter and Facebook for Thunderbird. And wow, Facebook especially is just a constant drip-feed of negativity. It doesn't matter what I post there, the comments are 90% unrelated complaining.
Just venting. Thanks for listening.

@killyourfm That's one of the reasons I left Canonical. The constant negativity about snaps is super draining.

@RyunoKi @thomy2000 That's an excellent question, and I believe the answer would be "meet the people where they live."
That's a really important part of marketing and community engagement.

I'd challenge by the amount of blowback you receive there (that's how I interpret your toots here) that engagement there won't change their minds.
You might as well stop accepting comments (if that's possible. Stopped using Facebook around the time Google+ came out) or use it for broadcasting news only.
