@mjausson @davealvarado @darius @mekkaokereke as someone who researched literally hundreds of VC-funded companies over the last few years... the only thing most VCs want to disrupt is anything moving money away from VC owners. One way they do that is by keeping that group of people as race and gender homogeneous as possible so there aren't uncomfortable questions about who is getting richer

@davealvarado @darius @mekkaokereke VCs are in the business of some disruption, but not all. Most don't want to disrupt the VC system that gives them so much power, for instance.
If they were into any and all disruption, they could easily hire or fund many more people who don't look like themselves. They could fund or hire disabled people or workers' cooperatives, for example.
