For at least 3 decades I have been obsessed with #drums. I air drummed all over everything. I spent a good 8 years playing the crap out of Rock Band's Pro/Expert drum mode and destroying at least 3 of those fake plastic toys. But it DID teach me some fundamentals...
Today, at 47 years old, I finally have the real thing. (Sure, they're digital drums, but you get my meaning.)
This is my drum kit. There are many others like it, but this one is mine.
(Yes, area rug is incoming...)

@Zelfir I'm surprised at how little space it actually takes up. Something like 120cm x 80cm.
And it's not too noisy! (the kick drum is the noisiest part but it shouldn't be heard by your neighbors.)

I have always admired how drummers play.
It's something very dynamic and meditative or hypnotizing at the same time.
Hope that some day I'll try to learn how to play drums on a basic level too.

Between learning the fundamentals, I'm practicing my first song: Buddy Holly! Feels like a rite of passage or something ?
On the third run, I hit 1000+ perfect notes out of a total of 1101. I think I can do this! ?
(Btw, this program is Melodics. Whoever recommended it here is a damn hero).

@killyourfm On the off chance that you haven’t seen it, drumeo has 100 of their songs available for free (you do have to give them your email address though). They’re mostly classic tracks, and they have full notation, speed control, looping, drum removal, etc., same functionality as their paid version.
I discovered it today while researching drumeo & considering if I should pay the extra $50 to get access to the songs on melodics.
