I can see its utility from a design perspective, sure. There is fidelity you can encode with colour for a richness in glyph rendering that you wouldn't be able to get otherwise.
But, c'mon. Even the *examples* on https://www.colorfonts.wtf/ are abusing this feature in a way that propels us toward a nightmarishly garish future of illegible hellsite scrawl and MS-Wordart title renderings. Actually, maybe that's great. Viva la '90s!
