   but to be fair, if you just buy every cable that's certified for Thunderbolt 4 you'll never have a problem. At least there's *one* method of knowing the cable can do all the things USB4 can do

     @cinja that might be. I tried a few with no luck. And of course I didn't bring the one I know is rated at 100W because I am a goddamn i'jit and "this one is more flexible and packs better" ?

     @rgegriff I've found sometimes it's the cable that prevents me from doing 100w usb-c PD

     Oof, still at 0% battery. Not enough power? Linux power driver issues? Have I been singled out by a malicious deity?

     Idk, but it's weird. I think this one might have to become a stay-at-home machine; and I get something more sensible for travel; I just can't trust it not to let me down.
