   The install instructions are specific to WordPress.com of course. On a self hosted sure you probably already know how to install it!

     @donncha @pfefferle Is it common these days -- I think it is -- that companies write gushing blog posts about how great ActivityPub and the Fediverse are, and the people who write the posts have only Instagram and Twitter follow links on their site. Should I believe a word of what you say?

     (I understand the practicalities of big companies. Nevertheless ...)

     @chris @donncha @pfefferle I don't think that's true. When I go to the AP screen on WordPress.com, I am asked to upgrade to a business account.

     @donncha @chris @pfefferle yes, I understand that.

     The next step in AP adoption is letting people with personal accounts, like me, enable ActivityPub on .com. I hope that's high on the priority list!

     I asked when that would be coming, and Chris replied "now", which wasn't true.

     @evan Right now, that's how you'll get your blog on WordPress.com on the Fediverse.

     If you self host your site you'll pay for that, and you'll be responsible for maintaining it, but you'll be able to install the ActivityPub plugin.

     @evan @donncha @pfefferle oh you mean when will the service do it for you... yeah I got nothing, I use rss to activity pub converters that are on github.
