  I left Christianity after having major doubts about myself and ability to uphold the faith. It’s funny, because I believe Jesus died for me and all that but I don’t think the sacrifice was worth it.
  A sacrifice is only worth the life it saves. You all know that.

  <9 About noon the following day as they were on their journey and approaching the city, Peter went up on the roof to pray. 10 He became hungry and wanted something to eat, and while the meal was being prepared, he fell into a trance. 11 He saw heaven opened and something like a large sheet being let down to earth by its four corners. 12 It contained all kinds of four-footed animals, as well as reptiles and birds. 13 Then a voice told him, “Get up, Peter. Kill and eat.”
  <14 “Surely not, Lord!” Peter replied. “I have never eaten anything impure or unclean.”
  <15 The voice spoke to him a second time, “Do not call anything impure that God has made clean.”
  <16 This happened three times, and immediately the sheet was taken back to heaven.

  Right, I didn’t say that it was for my body, just that it was for my life. I like to think of my life in terms of the now and after this mortal shell expires. The totality of my existence I guess.
  I don’t think too many people were worth such a sacrifice to be frank with you. Everyone says, “Jesus died for everyone.” The tranny? The faggot? The fool? The drug abuser? The alcoholic? What a waste of a good, perfect man, to die for this sordid lot. That’s what I mean.

  I know what you meant bro. He did die for those dregs too , but they hardened their hearts to him and are lost. Thats on them, not Him. I was a bad alchololic, but I listened to His voice when I hit rock bottom. His sheep here his voice and are rewarded.

  @Owl @marine @Yellow_Heart @get @cowanon @errante From the point of view of many, believing in His divinity and and death/ressurection is all it takes to be called a Christian. Whether it was worth it or not isn't quite up for anybody in Tellus to decide. That itself is one of the Mysteries.
  
  Perhaps from that same point of view I am a gnostic heretic, though I follow the Commandments much closer than any of those types.
  
  I might have said this before, but I think the issue is less to do with what you call yourself and more to answer the question: "What is to be master?"
  
  What side you are on is a choice, and I choose the side of the Lord of Hosts and not the side of the fallen men of this world.
