What a great episode. The writing was amazing. Pedro Pascal did an intricate job of showing Joel's loyalty turning into dependence and from there to manipulation. Bella Ramsey conveyed Ellie's traumatic response and shutdown so well. The scene in the hospital turns your certainty about the main characters' righteousness into doubt. But there was no way it could have happened differently. Good acting, good story, great end to the season.
