The fact that there are multiple relays and clients to choose from is what makes that possible. Individual clients/relays have always been able to (and will always be able to) censor, but unlike with Big Tech Social Media -- you don't have to put up with it. You have a choice. At least 3 popular Mastodon apps block certain domains, and it would be good to not repeat that here.

Relays are geopolitically diverse. Trying to get them *all* to censor people is virtually impossible even now, much less a year or 5 from now when the number of relays is enormous. -
