   @mikeneumann I have to disagree. I've been trying out Sonix and it's been nearly flawless -- and my first test was an hour long conversation in English with someone who has a pretty thick Italian accent.

   I spent maybe 10 minutes proofreading and making 3 or 4 corrections.

     Unpopular truth: Transcripts still aren't accurate.

     Tools to generate transcripts are more available and are far better than even a year ago, but even with crystal clear audio content, the resulting text requires a lot of painstaking manual editing effort.

     Those tools don't really learn yet, either. Once they start to accept manual edits and learn the sounds/words that were corrected, they'll improve; probably dramatically.
