I’m in Florida.
And I just woke up.
Which is against the law.

@simonzerafa @jerry People are making crazy money on them. That’s what happens when you tell people they’re not allowed.
@LGmedia @simonzerafa the bad thing is that these books aren’t even banned. The teachers don’t want to risk an angry parent making accusations which leads to potential felony charges for the teacher based on what a parent thinks a book says
Any word on what's happening to these books? Stored away or will they be burnt in true Nazi style ?
For context, the local news has an endless train of interviews with teachers who are removing all books from their classrooms over Florida’s Woke Act
@jerry @simonzerafa We’re seeing heretic parents complaining about teachers wearing red, wearing pants…
@LGmedia @simonzerafa I suspect the end game is make public school a perilous hellscape for teachers and students with the obvious savior being private Christian schools
@TransitBiker I think it’s more like Iran, Iraq, or Afghanistan under Taliban rule
@jerry sounds like North Korea
@FritzAdalis mostly negative, toward the law, however perhaps not tor the reason that one might expect. They interview teacher after teacher who each day that they fear being prosecuted, they wish the FL legislature would consult teachers, and they are removing books - very little discussion on how insane the law is from the perspective of “freedom”, which is ironic given FL’s governor is running around the country prepping for his presidential campaign by telling everyone how free he made Florida.
@jerry
Is the news presenting it with a positive or negative spin?
