     @handmade_ghost @taedryn That does seem to be the right way to describe the collar. The crisscross layout of this particular cardigan really speaks to me and I'm curious if there's a way to find things laid out like that? "Shawl collar cardigan" brings up a lot of things with buttons, for example.

     @ellyzoe @handmade_ghost @taedryn Unfortunately "sweater you wear as an upper layer" and "cardigan" both seem to collide; web searches for sweaters and cardigans basically just return the exact same things. Hence why I'm chasing down that particular style of pattern.

     @roadriverrail @handmade_ghost @taedryn shawl collar but not cardigan—those open in front with buttons or zippers or whatnot. Shawl collar sweater might get you what you’re looking for.

     @roadriverrail @ellyzoe @taedryn Most shawl collars cross over without added buttons; my knitting patterns with that style of collar all use the term "pullover," if that helps?
