@davidshq Oh, there's also https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deep_Blue_Sea_(1999_film) which is about as good as Anaconda ?

Kartik Agaram (akkartik@merveilles.town)'s status on Sunday, 05-Mar-2023 12:14:32 JST Kartik Agaram @davidshq Abyss and Sphere are arguably sea monster movies? If not, Rig may not qualify.
I keep waiting for the James Rollins books to get adapted.

There's also https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Swarm_(Sch%C3%A4tzing_novel)#Adaptations to look forward to.
Sorry, I tend to start from books ?

Dave Mackey (davidshq@hachyderm.io)'s status on Sunday, 05-Mar-2023 12:14:33 JST Dave Mackey @akkartik I haven't seen The Rig yet, didn't realize it had sea monsters in it, will have to watch!
You're right, there aren't a ton of options to choose from. Underwater (2020) was decent. From back in the day, Anaconda (1997) and Deep Rising (1998).
Honestly some of the films are faint memories from childhood that if I rewatched I'd probably find much too corny. I liked Gorgo (1961), 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea (various), trying to think of others...I'll take suggestions :)
