   @Zergling_man@birds.garden I see! Well, I do always check a remote instance before blocking it ?? Since we have a quite large user base it wouldn’t be fair to block everything that’s not within our opinions. But there’s also the fact that I’m responsible for the content on my server (also pulled from fed and stored temp) so I’m not gonna take the risk to host anything illegal! There are also soo many instances out there and from the start we wanted a safe space for everyone on mstdn, for example I also want to be able to invite my parents or browse the TL while at work :blobcatgiggle: And unfortunately some instances make that impossible so the choice for me is quite simple♥️?? but I’m not for blindly copying lists though.. (I kinda know the worst from my head these days, also because of interaction with those same people)

     Stux is a two-faced coward. I helped him scale his server, then he blocked media from mine and one of his own users complained to me that they can't see my posts. So I @'d him and wrote that he blocked media from my server, and he responded by suspending my server entirely and now randomly calls me an asshole online.

     @stux @Zergling_man There are many people who block you stux because of instances you refuse to block. I'm thankful that you don't block me, but to many on Fedi, that makes you Nazi adjacent or something.
     
     I know you're trying to ride a fine line. I did not know you contribute to block lists. That makes me sad ?. I do not think block lists of any kind are helpful. You can (and should) disable any remote media hosting or caching, and I'm okay with instances blocking others due to whatever standards and practices they implement (hopefully they're consistent).
     
     You are a puzzle Stux. I prefer the cat-posting Stux. It makes me fell happy inside. As far as some of your political views; well I'm just glad you don't block people so you at least hear counter arguments and voices, even if you don't chose to respond to them. That makes you better than half the fedi-admins out there right now.

     I donated money to his project and featured his website, and he picked a fight with me because he got upset that... I developed features? That I wrote opinions? Like, if you want to alienate other admins over something that like it's your choice, but it's very stupid. Especially when you'll have to continue to live on the Fediverse and could have just not interjected yourself in something that wasn't about you.
