   @DataDrivenMD A solution was already build before by the same developer, funny enough. The core dev made the iOS app Mast, but sold it for ~10k USD a few years ago. Considering it how has Marc Benioff funding, I'm assuming they're targeting different returns now.

     I'm not opposed to VCs losing money by funding teams that spent 2 weeks dabling on Mastodon, then 2 months building buggy solutions to a problem that's already been fixed by at least 4 other indie dev or open source teams.

     I do, however, find it annoying that their techbros find it necessary to cry foul when the get-rich-quick scheme goes up in flames within 72 hours.
