Did find one. @evan wrote a smidgen about it, and my Googling and searching GitHub has offered alternatives to VCs (did you know @mozilla has VC group? It's venture capital, but do we alter the nature of tech finance with a foundation taking the lead?).
Anyways, I might make a git repository. And place the info there.

I... just can't think of such a product. I will report back if I come across an example! ? But system-wide yeah, 100%. ?

Like, we want new toys. We want the developers. And we want new communities. It's... the very awful, very difficult situation that's created by the domination of VCs in being seen as the only way to finance the things that make the internet awesome.
Anyways, I'm going to sit in my corner and contemplate. Thank you for kindly responding on my minor quibbling.

Some sort of resource that lists local grants and other funding options, for instance.

I get the cultural animosity, and the hostile nature of VC-backed products, and the issue of people-as-the-product discourse, and how some (many? all?) venture backed mischief has caused unrestrained grief to so many...
... but alternative modes of investment in technology is a pain and limited. ? I hope young coders and developers aren't taking the wrong lessons on the anti-VC nature of Mastodon.

So, yeah, don't use that one.
