   So I've seen some posts about people being against boost, but for a different reason than expected.

   When you follow someone and they boost a post of someone you already follow, you see the pist twice in your timeline. If your circle is very interconnected, you can possibly see a post and then see it 10 more times as everyone you follow boosts the post.

   Some apps provide the functionality to hide boosted posts, but I feel that when I folloe someone, I am interested in what they have to say, and when they boost a post, I want to see it.

   So I feel clients should implement the functionality to hide posts boosted of people you already follow or if you have already seen a post.

   If someone I follow posts something, the boosted version is connected to it. My comment will appear on both because they both reference the same original post.

     @Stark9837 @fediversenews I’m conflicted. It’s frustrating to see the same post dozens of times in the same day. It’s also annoying to start reading a great toot and then realise you boosted it yourself 3 weeks ago and it’s come back round again. I don’t need to read it again, but it might be nice to know the booster finally got a chance to read and appreciate it.

     @Stark9837 @fediversenews On the other hand I might want to be aware of some one re-boosting a call to arms (poll, go fund me, petition) because they still need responses and further publicity.
