   They fixed the issue, they now dont publish DMs anymore and they reject DMs and unlisted posts now

     @newt no you don't, the quarantine is for individual domains and not all instances of a particular server software and certain versions of it. maintaining a list manually is not an option for lazy blobcats :comfymelt:

     @Jain pleroma has quarantine feature. Quarantined instances will not be sent non-public statuses, which is probably what you want here.

     @newt thats wrong, i learned today that akkoma has a nodeinfo scrapper and you can use this informations in MRF's. In addition nginx would only prevent from accepting traffic from such instances but not sending out traffic to them

     you might be able to thinker with incoming requests and the outgoing answer to those requests.
     But! if you dont use a socks proxy or a transparent proxy server, posts send by your instance wont go through your reverse proxy, think about it

     @Jain ahem.. you can filter both requests and responses in nginx. It's a powerful thing, even more powerful than MRFs.

     @newt no i dont... when someone send something to blob.cat things go through the reverse proxy...
     But when i post something on blob.cat, the akkoma connects like any other curl/webbrowser directly to the other server and sends the post to the inbox there... such webrequests wont go through the reverse proxy

     @Jain are you saying that blob.cat is directly connected to the internet without an http server in front of it? Because as far as I know, pretty much everyone uses nginx or caddy.
