:blobcathug: (jain@blob.cat)'s status on Thursday, 23-Feb-2023 23:24:12 JST :blobcathug: Since Wildebeest does reveal DMs to the public, it would be the best for Pleroma & forks instances to write a MRF to prevent sending DMs to such instances...
Since i do not have a very deep knowledge of MRF, im not sure if MRFs do actually have enough informations about an instance to prevent sending DMs to Wildebeest...-

(mint@ryona.agency)'s status on Friday, 24-Feb-2023 05:33:00 JST @Inginsub @Jain Mr. Pedophilesoftwareinc provided MRF utilizing Ackoma's nodeinfo scraper, but got ignored. Maybe because the quarantine functionality is beyond the scope of rewriting incoming activities. -

(mint@ryona.agency)'s status on Friday, 24-Feb-2023 05:50:53 JST @Jain @Inginsub Is that so? I have an idea how it works, the posted MRF is more of a proof of concept what you could do with the grabbed nodeinfo. Quarantine (which prevents non-public/unlisted posts from being sent) is a part of the other routine, the one that is responsible for sending local messages to remote inboxes. You can, though, avoid quarantine by refusing to accept private posts that tag wildebeest users via MRF, thus those posts never land in DB and get processed to begin with. :blobcathug: likes this. -
