     @gamercat@socnet.softgirl.online Neo Geo MVS (depending on the model you picked) could have up to 6 game cartridges running off a single board. Exa-Arcadia allows four. Multiple games on a single cabinet isn't that unusual if you play your cards right.

     @gamercat@socnet.softgirl.online More games on a single cabinet is nice for arcade operators since it allows them an easy way to increase revenue without investing too much more upfront. Usually to switch games, you have some button shortcut (on Exa it's 1P Start + Button 1), or you ask the operator to do it for you. If I was an arcade owner-operator, my first choice nowadays would be getting some MAMEcabs running legit roms of stuff and then a bunch of Exa machines + game cartridges for them in order to round out the newer games.

     @gamercat@socnet.softgirl.online No, unless someone wrote an emulator for it. Yuji Naka wrote one for the Mega Drive, so it isn't completely impossible.

     And this modification allows to insert nes cartridges into neogeo (if there will be an emulator for it), which means it can be compatible with flash cartridges that can work on a similar principle

     @gamercat@socnet.softgirl.online No, the modification was for arcade NES hardware to run consumer NES games. I just brought up Neo Geo as another example of multiple games in a single arcade board.
