@miah I’ve been thinking about this a lot recently while enjoying working on vintage computers. Thinking about what will be good enjoyable vintage items in the future and I don’t see it for most of our electronics. I can plug my Apple 2e or ti 99/4a in to the wall and a monitor and spend a ton of time enjoying them with modern addons, but my original iPad 1 is basically entirely useless.

I can get _any_ tablet device and put it in the landfill because doing anything beyond original creators intention isn't easily doable or people just don't care.
Especially anything Amazon or Apple has dumped on us. While there are projects like lineage, they are quite limited in supported hardware.
