   I personally think it’d be good courtesy to grant you your wish but I cant guarantee that the others will do the same. In that case, muting would be a good option here.

     I’m on #Soapbox, but I think #Mastodon works in this way as well; you should be able to mute certain branches of the thread and leave the rest alone
