   (this is not a judgment just an observation.)

   One of the odd things I've noticed about the hashtag "today" is that there are a handful of people who use the hashtag with almost EVERYTHING they post that day, instead of just one or two posts talking about what their plans are.

   Don't get me wrong, I'm not gate keeping a hashtag. You can put #buttplug on every post if you want for all I care.

   What I find interesting is that from what I can tell, it's only men that do this.

   I wonder why?

     @Mrfunkedude As far as I can recall, I use it exclusively if I reply to your daily posts. Can’t see much context for using it on most posts, except the dopamine courtesy of you that someone else mentioned.

     @That_One_Guy It's supposed to be used when you're telling people your plans or what you've already done. ("supposed" to ? )

     There are some people, and it seems to be only men, who use it for EVERY POST. Even if it's just for something they are thinking about.

     But I say this all with the understanding that a hashtag is for whatever someone wants to use it for. I'm not bitching. I just find it weird that it seems to be only men that do this. You have to wonder why?

     I had never used the hashtag today before I started following you. I could stop using it all together as it doesn't really describe anything relevant to the post.

     My OCD sometimes pushes me to do things repetitively like use things over and over again. It's something I should work on.
