I have not violated their code of conduct in any way.
I don't think I took any position on Soapbox support in gotosocial despite knowing about the controversy (too lazy to look up my old posts sorry) and the change that I was attempting to give to gotosocial has nothing, zero, to do with supporting soapbox or anything Alex Gleason has made. The change was to make gotosocial's webfinger act the same as Mastodon's, Pleroma's, and Misskey's.
Anyway they repeatedly demonstrated a lack of understanding of why I was proposing this change, and rejected code out of spite that they are probably going to eventually have to reimplement anyway. When I was working on their code I noticed I was finding a lot of bugs, and their community is run by guys like this. So I guess I don't recommend using gotosocial!
Their disapproval means nothing to me, but thought you all might like to know.
I don't agree with Alex Gleason on many things. For example, I disagree with his belief that all trans people should be shot out of cannons into the sun, and I think he contributed partially to his own removal from Pleroma by abusing his maintainer privileges and merging a hardcoded pleroma-fe background of an obese nude black woman stretching her vagina beyond what I thought were human limits. He has put his support behind fringe political movements like veganism and feminism. But despite these admittedly gaping personality flaws he is a beautiful child of God and I will not eject him from my table if he asks for bread.
Well I saw Alex Gleason at Hogsmeade and he single handedly eradicated all the goblins there. I've never seen such ferocity from the likes of a Vegan Wizard
@Moon The most absurd thing to me about this, that I still can’t figure out is… how did they know it was you?
Your profile is an old man named Saul Moonves. There’s no evidence anywhere on it about who you are.
So the only explanation is that they must have been stalking you. Stalking your account which they defederated. By going directly to your server and reading your posts continuously. Am I wrong about this?
@alex my issue included a curl request to the gotosocial server of a person asking me for help with 10grans bot not working for them, so it looks like they went to that server and stalked the guy's posts until they found a conversation between us. someone suggested they might have thought i was the guy asking for soapbox for his gotosocial instance (even though i specifically said that was not me in the issue)
@alex it seems dumb to believe because i'm "civil" with you that it means i'm politically aligned with you. maybe not telling you to fuck off is bad enough to them though. i'm guilty as charged of being friendly with you, i could explain it but i don't want to capitulate to having to defend all my relationships to hostile people.
@Moon I’m just a regular guy. I’m not perfect. And I realize I’ve done some dumb shit that that I reap what I sow. To some extent it’s part of who I am, but I also self-reflect and try to improve how I approach things in the future. I frequently question whether I am wrong. But on the transgender issue, I am not. I’ve only said things that are reasonable, and at times jokes. I have a public image problem, which is almost entirely because other people tried to tear me down and I didn’t manage my public image on purpose, because I want FREEDOM, DAMMIT.
@Robert_Edwardly@alex@Moon Sane tech guys like Gleason would get along with us just fine IRL... the troons not so much. If nothing else he can rest assured we'd never report him to an HR stazi or some other breach of confidence.
@w0rm@Moon Pleroma was funded by MyFreeCams to the tune of $4mil for several years. That much is fact. Porn in general is not something I consider an ethical business, but I accept that people have different beliefs and it’s not the root of my issue with Pleroma devs, I just think people should know.
Doubling down is the right move, don’t live up to that false humility you just waxed poetic about, malign your former peers (heh, as if) more, just burn all the bridges.
@bot@w0rm@alex@graf@Moon leaked emails with Moloch than told everyone not to use his website anymore. Why would anyone influential give money to anything graf-related after that fiasco
@w0rm@Moon Btw, here’s my perception of you. I think I’ve seen you before, or one of your 6 alts. You change accounts depending on how you’re feeling, and you have a specific account where you’re continuously nice, but you use other accounts to bully. You’ve changed domains several times to block-evade. You’re probably bipolar.
Either I hit the nail on the head, or you know me about as much as I know you - nothing at all.
@meticore@bot@Moon@alex@graf@w0rm plus he tried to say he's gonna try to compete with odysee with poast TV, his shitty peertube instance. months later and the most "popular" person using it is rand as a backup. this was probably the only saving grace poast will ever get as it's only made up of TRS niggers and "anime right" larpers and he pissed it away because he's a raging alcoholic
@bot@w0rm@alex@graf@Moon Odysee CEO. He got that nickname after Ralph leaked messages with him, in those messages he recommended Ralph he contact some satanists for advice or something
I wasn't lying when I said I was BPD. It wasn't a joke for attention. But I'd choose my life over yours, I'd rather struggle with being mentally ill than be as duplicitous and conniving as you.
"How can I twist words to win the current argument" at any cost; here with Pleroma, and in an instant with a single prod I goad you into repeating it, and you do. Even your self-reflection is performative, you empty shell, you malignant automaton.
Any project that has a CoC (pronounced as "cock") that's not either a meme or based on merit is not worth anybody's time and effort to be honest.
The only thing a CoC does is making bad actors who have no business being there to begin with feel safe while chasing away actual talent.
